Product Description

Eye-catching Small Plate with an Auspicious Motif

These small plates are used for soy sauce, hors d'oeuvres, pickles and also ideal to serve some snacks as nuts, sweets etc.

Ami means a net in Japanese and this Ami motif has been used with auspicious meaning as never-ending in Japan. Gorgeous matte gold and gray net patterns uniquely match on the plate. It is all handmade by master craftsmen in Arita town.

Kitaoji Rosanjin (1883-1959) was a noted artist and epicure. He gained his reputation in various areas (ceramics, calligraphy, seal carving, painting, lacquer, cooking, and gastronomy), and embodied the culture of traditional Japanese food by integrating these areas. This plate modeled after his design.
